EFISDS 2025 Young Surgeon Awards
Call for Abstracts, Surgical Videos, and Research Proposals The European Federation of the International Society for Digestive Surgery (EFISDS) invites young surgeons and residents to submit their work for the EFISDS Annual Congress 2025. We welcome submissions that highlight innovation, research excellence, and clinical progress in the field of digestive surgery. Contributions are invited in the following categories:
Scientific Abstracts
Surgical Videos
Research Proposals
All submitted materials will be evaluated by a joint EFISDS–EDS Scientific Committee, composed of senior faculty and international experts in digestive surgery. Selected entries will be invited for oral presentation during the ESD–EFISDS Session – Emerging Voices in Digestive Surgery, a session dedicated to showcasing the work of young surgeons and residents.
This session is scheduled for September 13th, 2025, during the final day of the EFISDS Annual Congress. All selected oral presentations will receive the EFISDS 2025 Young Surgeon Award, in recognition of their outstanding scientific and clinical merit. Please note the following requirements to be eligible for submission:
The presenting author must be a member of EFISDS. Membership applications can be submitted via the official website: www.efisds.eu
The presenting author must be registered for the EFISDS Annual Congress 2025
Submission Categories and Guidelines
1. Scientific Abstracts
Eligibility: Open to all clinicians, surgeons, researchers, and healthcare specialists in digestive surgery.

Word Limit: 300 words (excluding title and author information)

Authorship: The first author must be the presenter and fulfill all requirements.
Review Process: Evaluated by the EFISDS–EDS Committee for educational value, clarity, and innovation. Top two submissions will be selected for presentation and award.
