EFISDS 2025 CONGRESS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS (ENGLISH TRANSLATION)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ONLINE STORE
Annual European Federation – International Society for Digestive Surgery (EFISDS) Congress
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. The online store operating at:
https://efisds2025congress.amisns.edu.pl/rejestracja is run by:

1.2. These Terms and Conditions define the rules for using the Store, in particular:
- the procedure for concluding remote sales agreements,
- the rights and obligations of the parties,
- the consumer's right of withdrawal.
1.3. The Terms and Conditions constitute the rules for providing electronic services under the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on the Provision of Electronic Services.
1.4. The Terms and Conditions apply to all Customers of the Store. Acceptance is required to place an order.
1.5. Sales are conducted in accordance with the version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time the order is placed.
1.6. The Terms and Conditions are available on the Store website under the "Store Terms" tab and may be downloaded or printed.
1.7. The information provided on the Store website (including prices) does not constitute an offer within the meaning of the Civil Code, but an invitation to conclude a contract (Article 71 of the Polish Civil Code).
1.8. The Store offers only conference-related services:
participation in the EFISDS 2025 Congress and accommodation services.
2. DEFINITIONS
- Terms and Conditions – this document.
- Consumer – a natural person making a purchase not directly related to their business or professional activity.
- Entrepreneur with Consumer Rights – a sole trader making a purchase unrelated to their core business activity.
- Customer – any individual or legal entity with legal capacity using the Store.
- Order Form – the online form used to place orders.
- Store – the online store available at https://efisds2025congress.amisns.edu.pl/rejestracja.
- Seller – the Academy of Medical and Social Applied Sciences.
- Service – an activity consisting in providing conference-related services.
- Digital Service – services provided digitally, e.g. data access, cloud applications.
- Product – any service, including conference and digital services.
- Digital Environment, Integration, Compatibility, Functionality, Interoperability – technical terms related to digital service use.
- Agreement – a remote contract for the sale of services concluded between the Customer and the Seller.
3. ORDER PLACEMENT AND FULFILLMENT
3.1. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions is required to use the Store.
3.2. The Store may display sponsored offers and advertisements.
3.3. All prices listed are gross prices (including tax).
3.4. The Seller reserves the right to change prices, introduce promotions, add or remove products.
3.5. In the case of promotions, the Store informs the Customer of the lowest price in the 30 days preceding the discount.
3.6. Orders can be placed 24/7 via the Order Form.
3.7. Registration for the conference is completed by filling out the form, selecting the payment method, clicking “Submit registration,” and making the payment.
3.8. Additional services can be selected by checking the appropriate box and clicking “Register.”
3.9. The Customer receives a confirmation email after placing the order.
3.10. Upon confirmation, the Customer obtains the right to participate in the conference and selected services.
3.11. Orders are processed automatically, 24/7.
3.12. The sales agreement is concluded once the Customer receives the order confirmation.
3.13. A VAT invoice (personal or company) is issued for every order.

4. PAYMENTS
4.1. Accepted payment method:
online payment via PayU.
4.2. Payment terms are governed by the relevant bank and payment operator regulations.
4.3. In the case of bank transfer, payment must be made within 5 business days; otherwise, the order will be cancelled.
5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
5.1. A Consumer has the right to withdraw from the Agreement within
14 days of receiving the service, without giving any reason.
5.2. A sample withdrawal form is attached as Appendix No. 1 to these Terms.
5.3. The withdrawal statement must be sent to: efisds2025congress@amisns.edu.pl
5.4. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the withdrawal statement.
5.5. The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the Customer, unless otherwise agreed.
5.6. The Consumer is responsible for any diminished value of the service resulting from use beyond what is necessary to assess its nature and functioning.
5.7.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- digital services provided with the Consumer’s express consent,
- accommodation and participation in educational events with a specific date.
5.8. Entrepreneurs with Consumer Rights also have the right to withdraw.
5.9. A non-Consumer Customer may resign from participation after making payment – in such a case, a refund is possible (according to separately defined rules).
6. COMPLAINTS
6.1. The Seller is liable to the Customer under the provisions of the Civil Code, including for non-compliance of the service with the agreement.
6.2. Complaints regarding services should be submitted electronically to:
efisds2025congress@amisns.edu.pl or by post to the Seller’s address: Lotnicza 2, 82-300 Elbląg, Poland.
6.3. The complaint should include:
- First and last name,
- Email address,
- Description of the defect/problem,
- Date of occurrence.
6.4. The Seller shall respond to the complaint within 14 days of receipt. The Customer will be informed of the resolution via email.
6.5. In case of a justified complaint, the Seller shall:
- bring the service into conformity with the agreement at no cost to the Customer,
- offer an appropriate price reduction, or
- refund the full amount if withdrawal from the agreement occurs.
7. OUT-OF-COURT DISPUTE RESOLUTION
7.1. The Consumer may seek out-of-court resolution of complaints and claims, including:
- Mediation,
- Permanent consumer arbitration courts,
- Support from the municipal or district Consumer Ombudsman.

8. FINAL PROVISIONS
8.1. The Seller reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions for important legal or organizational reasons (e.g., change in law, functionality, services offered).
8.2. Customers will be informed of any changes to the Terms via the website at least 7 days in advance.
8.3. Orders placed before changes to the Terms and Conditions come into effect will be processed in accordance with the previous version.
8.4. In matters not covered by these Terms, relevant provisions of Polish law shall apply, especially:
- The Civil Code,
- The Consumer Rights Act,
- The Act on Provision of Electronic Services.
8.5. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
